Five Horse Johnson listening session

Na ruim 4 jaar verschijnt er een nieuwe LP van FIVE HORSE JOHNSON en Vinyl Grove heeft de primeur: Op JAKE LEG BOOGIE gaat FHJ terug naar de boogie van ‘Fat Black Pussycat’ incl. drummer Tim Gahagan die ‘pussycat’ voorzag van de shuffles en grooves.
Tim kwam ook mee op de laatste 2 toers met FHJ en je hoort een hechte, ingespeelde band waarbij, heel opvallend, gitarist Brad Coffin 6 van de 10 keer de leadzang voor zijn rekening neemt maar hierdoor Eric Oblander meer ruimte geeft voor die snijdende mondharp!

Five Horse Johnson is not a band that makes apologies, and compromise is not an option. The truth is, this is hard, heavy, dirty blues rock ’n’ roll for people who like the sound of an engine roaring or the feeling obtained by following a cold beer with a shot of good whiskey. FHJ will gladly kick your ass, and then wait for you to say thank you and ask for another. Which you will.
