CHARLOT perceives life through the unique lens of her existence, immersing herself in the conversations she hears and the details she observes. Her resulting stories are deeply personal, often dark and enigmatic. Through a musical landscape of synthesizers, drums and strings, she portrays the magic of real life and the reality of dreams.
Her debut album, ‘Lost Like Alice,’ draws inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s famous fairy tale. This album comprises 12 chapters, each exploring major themes such as identity, change, and meaning. CHARLOT invites listeners into her interpretation of Wonderland, creating an experience that is both intimate and danceable, with each chapter sketching a new dream world.
CHARLOT is the creative project of singer/songwriter Lotte Mulder. In 2018, she met her band at the Conservatory of Haarlem. Since then, they have collaborated closely to bring her music to life, both in live performances and in the studio.
